I feel the need to share with all my watchers and friends a recent sad experience I had inside a group - the name is not important. Why is it so difficult to leave outside DeviantArt and other social sites and fora our worst selves? Does leading a group really means that much to some of us?

A few days ago, a group admin asked my permission to include in a certain group's galleries one of my works. I felt flattered and thought: why not join this group? I submitted a few more of my works and half of them were rejected without any comments. When I asked why in a very polite comment I was treated like a juvenile delinquent! May I was right, may be I was wrong, its the attitude of the responder that's the real issue here. I deeply feel that no matter how important or insignificant one's work is, here in DeviantArt, everybody deserves a decent treatment. Polite questions deserve and demand polite responses. Condescending manners within authoritarian groups need to be addressed by consigning them to oblivion. Thank God there are so many groups out there. Why not give smaller groups a chance?

The aforementioned group states in its rules: "3 strikes and you're out..." and "I will personally remove you from the group. It's really no trouble" Wow, how sarcastic indeed! I already count one strike, why wait for the other 2 strikes to happen and not save the admin from the trouble of expelling me out from this group? Why not let myself out with my head up high just like the way I initially got in?

An artist can still exist and create outside a group. He/she already did that for many years ago. Can a group exist without its artists?
